Our Waqrapukara 1 day tour, takes us to know a sacred place, unknown and built on the steep mountains of the Andes at 4, 300 meters above sea level, in the province of Acomayo south of the city of Puma - Cusco.

Waqrapukara is an archaeological center where we can appreciate ancient pre-Inca and Inca temples and is a new alternative tourist attraction with mysteries not yet deciphered, therefore, takes us on a trek outside the traditional treks in Cusco and above all offers exceptional views of the Apurimac River.

Cusco - Cusipata - Acomayo - Pitumarca — Waqrapukara - Cusco

In the morning we leave the navel of the world to go in our tourist transport to Cusipata, where we will enjoy a nutritious breakfast and then continue our journey, passing through the town of Acomayo to reach Pitumarca, where our walk begins for about three hours to reach our destination: The ancient Inca fortress of Waqrapukara.

Arriving at Waqrapukara we will have enough time to rest and then visit this mystical and religious archaeological site.

We visit the main places of this mysterious and unknown archaeological site as the "Inti Punku" (Sun Gate), the main square, towers or towers, platforms and premises of the God Wiracocha and from this point we will have stunning views of the Apurimac River and the Andes.

After marveling at this wonderful place we take our way back to Campi and on the way we will have the opportunity to appreciate cave paintings illustrating the Andean camelids.

There we will have our picnic lunch or box lunch and then we will take our transportation back to Cusco.
