On the tour to the artificial islands of the Uros we interact with indigenous Aymara and Spanish speaking people and then visit the natural island of Amantani - Taquile natural island where the islanders speak their native language Quechua and Spanish, and are engaged in textiles and grazing, summarizing the charm of life with nature, highlighting the craftsmanship of the natives who persist with their classic dress.

Highlights

In Amantani as in Taquile Island there are no hotels or restaurants, food and lodging is provided by the islanders in their own homes.
From afar you can see the ancient terraces, built in pre-Columbian times. On the island you can admire sacred sites of the pre-Inca cultures Pukara, Lupaka and Inca culture.
At the top of the highest hills of Amantani there are two temples "Pachatata" and "Pachamama", from where the view of the highest lake in the world imposes its wonder before the eyes of the world.

Itinerary

Day 1: Puno - Islas Flotantes De Los Uros - Isla De Amantani.

Our excursion begins with the pick up from your respective hotels to go to the port where we will board our boat.

We leave the port of Puno, heading to the floating islands of the Uros. A 1 hour visit to explore their ancestral activities of the families.

Then we depart to the island of Amantani, where organized families are waiting for us in the community to take us and welcome us in their typical family homes, where we share pleasant and unforgettable moments with them. Lunch and rest time. After our lunch we walk to the ceremonial temple "Pachatata", we will enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Titicaca and surroundings, as well as a spectacular view of the sunset.

Descent to the respective family homes, family dinner, optional peña show.

Day 2: Amantani - Taquile Island - Puno

After our comforting breakfast we depart from the port of Amantani to the island of Taquile, once we arrive at the island of Taquile we will take a walk around this beautiful island, then we will have lunch in a family home overlooking the highest navigable lake in the world. Descent to the pier and return to Puno.
