We will be waiting for you at the airport in Cusco. Upon arrival we will transfer you in a short ride to your hotel.
In the afternoon, after a few hours of acclimatization to the altitude, we head for the beginning of the contact with the Andean culture.
During this tour we visit the Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.
DAfter your pick up from your hotel. We start the tour to the terraces of Moray, on the way you can see the practice of ancestral agriculture, native flora and fauna.
We visit the archaeological zone "Mysterious andenería of Moray" place that could have been for research and acclimatization of plants in the Inca period. Later we go to the salt mines and on the way we pass through the town of Maras, a town that resurfaced by tourism, its houses are made of adobe, white walls with blue roofs and windows, the streets are made of stone and mud. Arriving at the salt mines of Maras, we enter the salt mines and our guide will explain the process of salt extraction in a traditional way and then have time to take pictures before returning to Cusco.
We leave Cusco for a 2.5 hour trip to the town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy our typical breakfast of the area.
Then we board our transport again to continue our journey through beautiful landscapes and ravines until we reach Soraypampa, where we start our hike to the Turquoise Lagoon of Humantay.
After getting our trekking equipment ready, we begin our hike to the Humantay lagoon, our ascent takes an average of 1.5 hours until we reach our destination.
Arriving at this beautiful picturesque lagoon of Humantay, we will have all the necessary time to enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds it and also fill us with the energy that has this beautiful mountain of Salkantay.
Our guide will tell us the history of this sacred lagoon, he will also make a demonstration of the use of the coca leaf and a small offering to our Apus (Mountains) that allowed us to arrive.
After all this beautiful adventure we have to return by the same route to our transportation in Soraypampa. Afterwards, we head to Mollepata where we will enjoy our lunch and then return to Cusco.
Pick up from your hotel to make the 02 hour trip to Cusipata, where we enjoy our breakfast. Then we continue in our transport to the checkpoint, where we begin our hike along the trail. As we advance we will be able to appreciate spectacular landscapes, surrounded by mountains and we will also be able to observe South American Auquenidos.
After about 1.5 hours of trekking we arrive at the viewpoint of the mountain, at 5020 m/16.466 ft. and we will see the Rainbow Mountain or Vinicunca in all its splendor, if the weather permits and the snow-capped Ausangate.
In the Colored Mountain our guide will explain us about the orography, ecosystem and the reason for the colors of the mountain, and we will also take pictures.
Then we return optionally by the viewpoint of the Red Valley, Red Mountains, walk on this ecosystem considered Andean desert. From there we can have a last view of the Colored Mountain or return by the same route of ascent.
Finally, we arrive at the place where we started the hike (Llaqto) from where our transportation takes us to the restaurant for our delicious Novo Andina buffet lunch. We return to the city of Puma.
We leave the hotel towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the way we make a brief stop to have a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley. From there we continue to visit the typical market of Pisac and its archaeological complex of Intihuatana.
Then we head to the city of Urubamba where we enjoy our buffet lunch, then we continue our journey to visit the living museum city of Ollantaytambo and finally head to the train station of Ollantaytambo and continue our journey to the town of Aguas Calientes. The train ride is one of the most spectacular in the world. The railroad line follows the Urubamba River through the spectacular Vilcanota Canyon.
We leave our hotel to the bus stop to board one of the first buses to appreciate the sunrise in Machu Picchu according to weather conditions. The departure from the hotel is according to our schedule of entry to Machu Picchu. We visit the sacred city of Machu Picchu, a place where myth meets history. With our expert guide we visit the most important sectors of this sacred city who will share the most updated information and personal knowledge of Machu Picchu. Then you will have free time to visit and enjoy this wonder.
If you choose to hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, you will enter in the second shift at 10:00 AM. Each varies in length and difficulty, but they are certainly a great option to enjoy these unique sites.
Finally, we descend to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we have lunch and then board the train that takes us to Ollantaytambo station, where our transportation will be waiting to drive us back to the city of Cusco.
