The program "06 Days to the Salar de Uyuni from Cusco Peru" allows you to discover the world's largest salt desert and other tourist attractions on the route to the Salar, such as Lake Titicaca (Sun Island) and the City of La Paz in Bolivia. This trip is done by land, departing from Cusco, passing through the city of Puno, Copacabana, Ciudad de la Paz until arriving in Uyuni.

In the evening you are picked up from your hotel and then transferred to the bus station to take the bus that will take you to the city of Puno.
The bus has air conditioning, bathroom and a hostess.
After a previous rest we continue our trip to Copacabana, where we taste our lunch, then we embark a boat with the guide to the Isla del Sol, where we visit the following places: The stairs of Yumani, agricultural terraces, Inca fountain, Pilkokaina palace, etc.. Then we return to Copacabana to visit the sanctuary of the virgin of Copacabana and board the transport to the city of La Paz.
Pick up from your hotel to start the excursion to the Killi Killi viewpoint where we can take impressive pictures of the city. Then we visit the historic center of the city of La Paz, the Plaza Murillo, Executive Palace, Legislative Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral. On our way to the amazing Valley of the Moon we will see the replica of the semi-subterranean temple of Tiwanaku that is in front of the stadium of the city.
Arriving at the Valley of the Moon we observe amazing geological formations of clay created by the erosion of the winds and heavy rains, creating an attractive lunar landscape. From there we return to the center of the city to board the cable car and enjoy a beautiful panorama of the city of La Paz, in one of the most picturesque means of urban aerial cable transport that will allow us to find the secrets of the city from the air.
Then we continue the tour to the Witches Market, a place full of traditions and objects to perform Andean ancestral rituals. The tour ends at the San Francisco Church, a majestic colonial church of Mestizo Baroque style.
Then after dinner we pick you up at approximately 20:00 hours from your hotel for our trip to the Uyuni salt flat and board the bus that leaves at 21:00 hours to Uyuni, the trip lasts approximately 10 hours.
Nota: We have two options to travel to the Salar de Uyuni: Travel at night by land (20:00 - 6:00 hours) or sleep in La Paz and the next day take the flight at the first hour.
Discovering the magical Salar de Uyuni!
In the morning we arrive at the bus terminal or Uyuni Airport, transfer to the town of Uyuni and from there you have free time to enjoy breakfast on your own.
We begin the tour visiting the Train Cemetery, a journey that takes us back to the beginnings of the founding of the "City of Uyuni".
Then we will go to the community of Colchani where we will be able to appreciate handicrafts made of salt and typical material of the high Andean region, in the same way we can appreciate the processing of salt, in this way in a conditioned space we will taste our lunch.
Then we enter the majestic Salar de Uyuni where we recommend to prepare the cameras for this spectacle, we will arrive at the Salt Museum, which by its characteristics is considered the first construction of its kind, made with blocks of salt and straw typical of the region.
Then we go to the heart of the salt flat, the Incahuasi Island and through a path we will be able to appreciate the typical flora of the region.
Then we go to the town of Coqueza at the foot of the Tunupa volcano, where we will have free time to wait for the sunset and have a show of colors, an unforgettable sunset with excellent views, dinner, overnight at the foot of Tunupa.
We begin our adventure making a tour of ascent to the Tunupa Volcano in the 4 * 4 vehicle to visit the Mummies of Coqueza and the viewpoint of the Thunupa Volcano, with an unbeatable view of the salt lake and its islands, from there we return to the lodge in Coqueza to enjoy our lunch.
We continue the tour on a short trip to the town of Chantani on the shores of the salt flat, where we visit the Museum of the Cantaros, a place that gathers objects of the culture and tradition of the high Andean region.
Finally, on our way back, we will enter the world's largest salt flat again, where we will make our last stop at the Ojos de Sal, where we can enjoy the last minutes in the salt flat.
Our adventure ends after crossing the town of Colchani to the city of Uyuni.
