Highlights

In this trip we will find the beautiful and great snowy Salkantay (6271 m.a.s.l.) we can take baths in natural hot springs from the depths of the earth, see different fruit plants and a variety of orchids, as if that were not enough we can taste the tastiest coffee in Peru, the Convention enjoying the beautiful view of Machu Picchu from our camp, which rises to over five thousand meters high and also with tongues of ice that fall in a dizzying way and form glacial lakes. The Salkantay circuit is one of the great attractions of Cusco.

The Cordillera de Vilcabamba, where the Salkantay massif is located, is a beautiful and solitary area. Dominated by the Apu Salkantay itself, it has numerous high elevation snow-capped peaks, such as Tucarhuay (5910 m.a.s.l.), Veronica (5682 m.a.s.l.) and Huacayhuilca (5361 m.a.s.l.), among others.

The geography is difficult and capricious in all the contour of this attractive mountain complex. The Salkantay is surrounded by deep valleys and ravines, which makes the trek interesting but at the same time exhausting.
