After your pick up from your hotel. We started the journey to Moray platforms, on the way you can see the practice of ancestral agriculture, native flora and fauna.

We visit the archaeological zone "andenería of Moray", then we pass through the town of Maras, a town that resurfaced by tourism, their houses are made of adobe, white walls with blue roofs and windows, the streets are made of stone and mud. On the lintels you can read inscribed in stone the date on which they were built, their owner or a coat of arms or ornament. Then visit the salt mines of Maras, where the guide will explain the process of salt extraction and then have time to take pictures before returning to Cusco.

Maras.- Located to the west of Cusco at 3300 m.a.s.l. from there you can see the Urubamba mountain range and the snowy peaks of "La Veronica" (5682 m.a.s.l.) and the "Chicon" (5530 m.a.s.l.) Its important occupation began when the nobles of the Inca Cusco were stripped of their palaces in the Qosqo and had to leave to settle in other small towns like Maras. The picturesque population, offers a multicolored whim of nature, this beautiful town is located 46 k.m. from the city of Cusco and still retains much of its beautiful colonial architecture.

Andenes de Moray.- It is located about 7 km. southwest of Maras; it is the only archaeological group of its kind in the region. It is about depressions or gigantic natural holes in the surface of the land that were used to build terraces or agricultural terraces with their respective irrigation channels in their contours, it is therefore a prototype of a greenhouse or biological experimental station quite advanced for its time that helped the American man of antiquity to inherit to humanity 60% of the vegetable products consumed, that the Andean man consumes a thousand and a half varieties of potatoes, a hundred and a half of corn, and many other products.

Salt Mines.- Located to the northwest of the town of Maras, they consist of about 3000 small wells with an average area of about 5 m², during the dry season they are filled or "irrigated" every 3 days with salt water emanating from a natural spring, located at the top of the wells so that when the water evaporates, the salt contained in it gradually solidifies, then the salt is beaten and thus granulated; The salt is then bagged in plastic bags and sent to the markets in the region; today the salt is iodized, which is why its consumption is not harmful.

Finally we will be returning to the city of Cusco at 2:30 pm approximately.
